GETTING STARTED
To order via School Prints, a Nations Photo Lab account will be needed along with the School Prints ROES software installed on your computer. If you do not already have a Nations Photo Lab account, please create one here. School Prints ROES can then be downloaded directly from this link.
Once you have an account and ROES is installed, open the application to enter your Customer ID in the account number box. Your customer ID can be found under your account on the Nations Photo Lab website here. Erase the filler password and enter the password you use for Nations Photo Lab. You will then be able to Sign in to ROES.
Once in ROES, select the Start Ordering tab on the top menu bar. You should now see the catalog options on the left-hand side. You can choose the catalog from which you are interested in ordering.
Once in the catalog, you can create packages to streamline your ordering process. Please take a look at this article for a more in-depth look at how to build custom packages.
To create your products, you can drag and drop the images from a folder on your computer right into the product or package in the center space. If you are going to be working with many images, it may be easier to organize by adding the image files to the bottom gallery row in ROES.
ADDING IMAGES TO ROES
File Requirements:
- .jpg and/or flattened .tiff files (.tiff files must not be layered)
- 180 dpi minimum resolution - 300 dpi maximum resolution
- 8-bit color depth
- sRGB IEC61966-2.1 color profile/space
- RGB color mode (CMYK not accepted)
- 25 character filename limit *NO special characters, excluding hyphen (-) and underscore (_)*
On the bottom of ROES, there should be a gallery space. You can direct ROES to view all image files in a folder by clicking on the green circle with the white plus sign in the center. ROES will then open the File Explorer or Finder, depending on your computer’s operating system—direct ROES to the folder that houses the images you need to order and click open. The image will now be on the bottom row for easy browsing. You can drag one image or select multiple images to drag and drop into your product or package to order. When multiple images are moved to the product, ROES automatically adds them to the cart. Remember to double-check all crops before submitting your order.
* Please remember that ROES does not transmit the image files to us for processing until the order is submitted. Wait to move, edit, modify, or delete any images used in your order until after the order is submitted.
SAVING AN ORDER FOR LATER
ROES has an autosave feature that will keep your order in the cart until you place it. However, auto-save can be deleted or even overwritten. If you need more time to work on your order, please save your cart for later. Click here for a step-by-step tutorial on how to save your cart.
SUBMITTING AN ORDER
Once your order is complete and in the cart, there are a few options to pick on the right-hand side of the cart panel. You must indicate if you will be shipping to a residential or commercial address. The other options are for window enveloping of your packages, backprinting on the prints (no longer guaranteed), order reference, and any special instruction you may have for the order. Once you have picked any options you are interested in, you can click complete and send order on the bottom to begin the Checkout process.
*Please keep ROES open until your entire order transmits to us. If ROES is closed prematurely, we will not receive the full order and will not be able to process it. If you do not receive an email with an updated School Prints order number within 30 minutes of placing your order, please contact us.
