Import Data from a CSV File
4. To input the order data, highlight the Event and click on Subject Info at the bottom right.
5. Three options are available for entering your data. You can import data from a .csv file, create an empty table to use, or create an empty table with preset fields from SP ROES. For this section, choose Import data from a csv file and click Next.
- You can use various software programs to organize your orders while taking photos. Most programs will organize the session data in a spreadsheet format, using columns as fields.
- If you choose to organize the photo sessions in a program like Excel or Google Sheets, use the same output format. Ensure that all data fields are organized as columns and not rows.
- The ordering program or spreadsheet data should be exported as a .csv (comma-separated values) file to import into School Prints.
Once you click Next, a pop-up window will appear. Then navigate to the location of the CSV file and select it.
Once the CSV is loaded, check the box for First Row Has Field Names and then click Next. The field names should be used as the headers in the CSV file.
Select the Favorites folder from the Package Group drop-down on the following screen with the required packages (this is where we stored our packages in the Package Prints Session).
Once the folder is chosen, click Next. The next screen will inquire about image files.
If the photo session has not occurred, select No, I do not have images at this time. If the images are available, select Yes, let me select the images now.
Once the image availability is selected, the Event will be ready for data adjustment and for the Event to be run.
