How do I uninstall & reinstall ROES?

 

HOW TO UNINSTALL FROM MAC

1. Delete the School Prints  ROES app from the applications folder. It will end in .app
• In Finder select Go then Applications find the School Prints app and delete it.
2. Delete the desktop shortcut/alias. It will end in .app.alias
3. Delete the .ROESEngineCache
• In Finder select "Go" then "Go to Folder"
• When the window opens up, put in: ~/.ROESEngineCache
• Highlight all files and folders and Move to Trash.
4. Clear the roescache folder.
• In Finder select ""Go"" then ""Go to Folder"
• When the window opens up, put in: ~/.roescache
• Click Go. The contents of the .roescache folder will be displayed
• Highlight all files and folders and Move to Trash.
5. Clear the .SchoolPrints folder.***
• In Finder select "Go" then "Go to Folder"
• When the window opens up, put in: ~/.ScoolPrints
• Click Go.
• Highlight all files and folders and Move to Trash.

***Warning: The .SchoolPrints folder contains prior sent orders, autosaved orders and saved favorites or packages. If you feel the need to retain information then copy/move the folder to the desktop rather than the trash

HOW TO UNINSTALL FROM WINDOWS

1. Uninstall School Prints from the Program list
• Go to Settings and click on Apps then scroll down to School Prints and Uninstall it by click on it to bring up the Uninstall button
1. In Windows 7 or older Go to the Control Panel then Program and Features and uninstall the School Prints ROES client(s)
2. The direct file path is “Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features” 
2. View hidden files and folders 
• Right-click the Windows Logo button and choose Open File Explorer (Windows Explorer in older versions) 
• Click on View in the top bar and check the box for hidden items  
1. In older versions click Organize and choose Folder and Search Options.
2. Then Click the View tab, select Show hidden files and folders and then clear the checkbox for “Hide protected system operating files.”
3. In File Explorer go to and delete the contents of these folders
•  C:\ProgramData\SWROES.
• C:\Program Files\ROES or C:\Program Files (x86)\ROES.
• C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\ROES.
• C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\  *only the files that start with "RWSCleanup" use the folder search to locate them to delete.
• C:\Users\USERNAME\ and delete the .roescache folder.
• C:\Users\USERNAME\ and delete the .SchoolPrints folder ***

to the desktop rather than the trash.

REINSTALL SCHOOL PRINTS

Make sure you Java is up to date. If you do not have Java or have uninstalled it please click on the jave download link to download and install.

MAC:

• Mac OSX 10.5.8 or Higher
• 1.6MHz Speed Processor or Higher 
• 2GB RAM Minimum 
• Java 5 or Newer. (Apple Java is Native to OS 10.6 and below)

PC:

• Recommend Windows 7 or newer. (Windows XP will only work in 32 bit and can have memory issues with large orders)
• 1.6 MHz Speed Processor or Higher 
• 2GB RAM Minimum 
• Java 6 or Newer.

**Be sure to maintain enough free drive space to build, save, and retain order files, ROES will need the space equal to the file size of all the images in the order to package and send the order.
